Bexton Primary School

Hi Everyone,

I mentioned in my last post that I would be teaching at Bexton Primary School.

I was asked to create artwork with years 1 & 2 on some large concrete planters in their outdoor garden. The planters are now being used to grow vegetables to help teach children where our food comes from.

This work was kindly sponsored by Peaks & Plains Housing Trust and by Waitrose.

The children were delightful and a credit to their school. They were so sweet; there excitement and enthusiasm for the project was lovely to see.

The grand opening was on Friday (05.07.2103) at 2pm, the local press attended. So watch out for pictures in Wednesdays (10.07.2013) Knutsford Guardian!

Below are photos I have taken of the finished artworks which the students worked so hard to complete. What do you think?

The theme for year 2 was the African Savannah:

The theme for year 1 was flora and fauna:

The children were all aged between 6 & 8, I think they did really well. I am very proud of them!

Bye for now

Ali
