Busy busy

Hi everyone.

It has been a while since my last “proper” blog! So here is an update of some of the things that I have done in April so far.

It was my BIRTHDAY woo hoo!!! Obviously we don’t discuss how many candles there were to blow out!
I had a lovely evening with my family, my children cooked me a meal (it helps that my son is a chef! Apparently it was a bit like kitchen nightmares!) and I got a new digital camera to photograph my work...it also does HD video.......

My husband has also taking me to the theatre, you know a man loves you when he will take you to things he hates!!

OKAY so that’s what I have been up to!

On the weekend of the 13th I was at the Potter’s Barn in Sandbach, teaching upholstery to some delightful, interesting people from different walks of life! I had a great time and I hope they did too!

I was sad to learn that the college where I did my 2 year upholstery course (10 years ago!! ARGH!) has closed down all adult City and Guild classes! Seems that upholstery is a dying art?!

On Thursday (18th) I had the absolute pleasure of teaching a group of year 12 textile students at Malbank School in Nantwich, Cheshire. It is great to see enthusiastic and hard working students produce such diverse work. They are a credit to their teachers and school!

Then on Friday I met up with my fellow felters at the frodsham felter's group for a gossip and a bit of felting for myself (I made a bowl)!

sooo I have been busy!

bye for now
